In this Meisner Technique-based workshop, you'll learn to drop pretenses, focus on your scene partner, and act from an honest, spontaneous place. At the heart of this workshop is Meisner’s famous Repetition Exercise, a powerful tool that helps actors respond truthfully in the moment. Through this technique, you’ll access genuine emotional impulses and develop a newfound confidence in your craft.

ABOUT THE COACH
Nita Arpiainen is an acting coach, actor and a holistic coach and the founder of Actors Academy Finland. In her previous careers she has been a professional snowboarder and also worked as a TV presenter and producer. Nita's deep passion and curiosity for acting, learning and personal growth is the underlying motivation for AAF to come alive. The vision for AAF was formed while Nita attended numerous acting schools and workshops in London at the Actors Studio, Giles Forman Acting Studio, City Academy and the Actors Temple to name a few, ultimately falling profoundly in love with the Meisner Technique, and it making a powerful and lasting impact on the way she viewed not just acting, but life and relationships as well. Her first studies and the journey into the world of the wonderful and forever-inspiring world of Meisner Technique started in 2015, and she has been lucky to have worked and learned with many great international teachers along the years.

Sanford Meisner defined acting as "living truthfully under imaginary circumstances." Everything in the Meisner Technique is built around that idea.
Rather than manufacturing emotion or planning responses, Meisner-trained actors learn to truly see their scene partner — and let what they see affect them. The result is performance that feels spontaneous, alive, and deeply human.
It is the foundation of everything we teach at Actors Academy. And for many of our students, it becomes something much bigger than an acting technique — a new way of relating to themselves and to others.

This workshop is taught in the same spirit and technique as our One Year Training in Helsinki — a comprehensive, part-time Meisner-based program running from September 2026 to May 2027. Over ten intensive weekend modules and regular online sessions, you'll train with top international coaches and graduate with a professional showreel, voice reel, and headshots in hand. You receive the mindset and professional tools to enter the industry like a pro.
If you attend this workshop and are accepted into the One Year Training, half of your workshop fee (172,50 €) is deducted from your tuition. Your workshop weekend in Oslo becomes a first step — and a head start.
The program is designed to fit alongside full-time work or studies, and final spots for September 2026 are being filled now.
