Our mission is to create more avenues and possibilities for growth and expansion for both professional and starting actors, performers, directors and the ones who are looking for new ways to expand their creative and emotional expression and growth.
We at Actors Academy share a firm belief in every human being's natural talent. It is often not only about learning more skills but unlearning patterns that are disconnecting us from our creative freedom and flow.

NITA ARPIAINEN
Founder, CEO

Nita Arpiainen is an actor and acting coach, yoga teacher, holistic coach and the founder of Actors Academy. In her previous careers, she has been a professional snowboarder and also worked as a TV presenter and producer.
Nita's deep passion and curiosity for acting, learning and personal growth is the underlying motivation for AAF to come alive. The vision for AAF was formed while Nita attended numerous acting schools and workshops in London at the Actors Temple, Giles Forman Acting Studio, City Academy and the Actors Studio to name a few, ultimately falling profoundly in love with the Meisner Technique, and it making a powerful and lasting impact on the way she viewed acting. Nita has been passionately studying and working with the Meisner Technique since 2015.
Nita has created and designed the Actors Academy's One Year Training as the optimal training course for varied level acting students who share a readiness and authentic desire to dive into the work with depth and and expand both professionally as personally. The One Year Training combines the expertise Nita and the other OYT coaches have gathered on the subject around the world in a very powerful way.
MIKAÉLLE SUVITIE OLIVEIRA
Studio Host, Production Coordinator

As our studio host and coordinator, Mikaélle is the welcoming presence you’ll meet during studio opening hours, training modules, and workshops. Her role ranges from ensuring the smooth daily operations of the studio to greeting students and coaches from across Finland and abroad. During the final-week of our training programs, she works as a production assistant, making sure everything runs smoothly and on time. Having graduated from our One Year Training herself, Mikaélle offers a great support for the students. Her love for storytelling and interest in a holistic approach to acting are what led her to join our school and team.

HEINI RYYNÄNEN
Operations and Development Manager
​
As Operations and Development Manager, Heini coordinates training programs, supports communication between students, instructors, and partners, and helps bring new courses and events to actors in Finland and abroad. With a background in acting and experience running her own business, she brings both creativity and structure to everything she does. Always eager to improve and innovate, Heini enjoys being part of the creative and inspiring team at Actors Academy.

MICHAEL TSELEPIS
Camera Operator
​
Part of the final-week filming grew and our workshop cinematographer, Michael is a qualified camera operator and editor whose background is in the practical and technical aspect of shooting. His background is with film and corporate shoots and he has worked in both digital and analogue filmmaking for many years, bringing experience from working with a wide variety of talented crew across many countries. ​

LAURI TAMMINEN
Cinematographer

Lauri serves as the cinematographer during the final week’s filming days, where he collaborates with our team, the director and students to create their showreel scenes. He's a Helsinki-based cinematographer with a background in films, commercials, and television. He enjoys good company, moments of calm, and creating a safe and accepting environment for everyone on set. This way, he feels he can capture something genuine.​
