NYC based Dialect Coach Eliza Simpson will guide you on an inspiring five week online course where you will discover and practice all the core aspects of the American Accent - whether you'll need it in your acting jobs, other work platforms or in your free time. This accent workshop is not only for actors, but open to anyone wanting to improve their accent when speaking English.

ABOUT THE EVENT

An authentic American accent expands your skill set and increases your castability. In order to book the role, you need to make the accent your own. 

This five week long course will focus on the practical skills of performing in accent and help you find your authentic voice. The class is designed to push you beyond the basics of the accent into advanced concepts like how to make choices, interpret genre, and improvise in an authentic American accent.

As a student of this class, you will get the opportunity to perform and receive personal feedback from New York City-based dialect coach Eliza Simpson.

You'll leave this course with skills that you can apply right away as well as practice techniques to continue your progress.

For actors, advanced and beginner accent students, and anyone desiring a more authentic American accent.
 

WHAT DO YOU GET

You'll walk away from this course with a deeper understanding of the General American accent and performance skills. You'll gain ease, clarity, and ownership of your authentic American sound. You'll continue to expand on a daily warm-up designed to engage the parts of your voice necessary for the General American accent.

ABOUT ELIZA SIMPSON

Eliza's recent dialect coach credits include Netflix's Tall Girl, the upcoming sequel to Fantastic Beasts, and Justin Chon's new film Blue Bayou with Alicia Vikander.

Eliza is a dialect coach for production and private clients, as well as a certified teacher of Knight Thompson Speechwork. She coaches performers from across the globe for film, TV, stage, voiceover, spokes-modeling, and corporate events. Eliza is a proud graduate of Rutgers University and a member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association. When she's not on set or at rehearsal, she works in conjunction with acting conservatories like HB Studios, American Academy of Dramatic Arts, NYU, and the New School to assist actors in mastering accent skills.
